UzimaNexus Wins 3rd Place at Africa Innovation Fellowship Programme Bootcamp
We are thrilled to announce that UzimaNexus founder Ibila Prudence secured 3rd Place at the Africa Innovation Fellowship Programme Bootcamp pitch competition! This achievement marks a significant milestone in our journey to transform African healthcare through innovative technology.
From July 14–18, 2025, we participated in the Africa Innovation Fellowship Programme Bootcamp, organized in partnership with The Royal Academy of Engineering and WomHub. This intensive five-day program brought together 25 inspiring women founders from across the African continent for an energizing sprint of entrepreneurial growth.
The bootcamp featured deep-dive sessions on strategy, leadership, storytelling, and investment readiness. It was a transformative space where our ideas were sharpened, confidence amplified, and purpose redefined. The program provided invaluable insights into scaling our innovative approach to revolutionizing African healthcare through AI, blockchain, and automation.
Beyond the structured learning, what stood out most was the power of the collective: the generosity in collaboration, the boldness in dreaming big, and the shared drive to create solutions that matter. We connected with like-minded founders who share our commitment to building impactful solutions for Africa.
The week culminated in a high-stakes pitch competition where we showcased UzimaNexus's comprehensive healthcare technology platform. Our presentation highlighted how we're using AI-powered clinical decision support, blockchain-based health data management, and clinic automation to make quality healthcare accessible across the continent.
This 3rd place recognition validates our mission and strengthens our commitment to making advanced healthcare technology accessible across Africa. We are grateful to the Africa Innovation Fellowship Programme, The Royal Academy of Engineering, and WomHub for this incredible opportunity.
